The Premier Gospel Awards capped off Gospel Heritage Month 2024 with a glittering ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall in London, delivering a night of celebration and recognition for the UK’s vibrant gospel music scene.

Hosted by actor David Gyasi (The Diplomat, Interstellar), the evening was packed with high-energy performances and heartfelt speeches from some of entertainment’s biggest names.

Among the celebrity attendees were Sugababes’ Keisha Buchanan, Alex Boateng, CEO of 0207 Def Jam, and actor Nonso Anozie (Ender’s Game, Ted Lasso).

Award winners included Reblah, who won both Best Male Artist and Best Album for Holy Impact, Annatoria, who won Best Female Artist and CeCe Winans, who was crowned Best International Artist. Tim Godfrey’s ‘Big God’ was named Best Song, The Spirituals were named Choir of the Year and Limoblaze won Best Video for ‘Holy Father’. Imrhan was awarded Best Newcomer, Warehouse Worship took home the Best Group award and TAB Worship was recognised as Best Worship Group. 

Meanwhile, Identity School of Acting founder Femi Oguns MBE and band The Compozers received the Outstanding Contribution award for their influential roles in shaping music and the arts.

More than 1,000 people attended the event, sponsored by Compassion UK, which also aimed to highlight the transformative power of music to bring hope and unity, as well as the importance of giving back.
