I am a Salvation Army Officer. Right from the beginning (160 years ago) William Booth chose to accept women as officers, and many of them have done a tremendous work for the Lord. Some have even been the General of the Salvation Army. Again, right at the beginning of the Army, William Booth said, "Many of my best men are women." If we are all made in the image of God, what is wrong with female ministers? It's not time to rethink, but time to fall in line with the Lord. How about Deborah in the Old Testament? How about God using women to discover that Jesus had risen again, and take the message to the disciples? Jesus always gave women importance and dignity throughout His ministry, even the woman found guilty of adultery. Surely, there is no room for denying women the privilege of working as ministers? This is discrimination and should be abolished.
