The father and son were found by rescue services in the French resort of Chamonix on Sunday, 17th March. Christianity magazine understands the family have a connection with a Newfrontiers church in Bedford, and support is being provided by the leadership.
A special tribute book has also been opened at an Anglican church in the Buckinghamshire village where the family lived.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the family said Peter and Charlie had flown to the French Alps for a short weekend of adventure.
‘Charlie was always full of life, had a really happy temperament and loved spending time with his father,’ the statement read. ‘Peter was fantastic at making things happen, resourceful, with a positive approach to life.’
